Well a big hello to anyone who is receiving this. I will try and let you in on what life is like on a typical day in the life of a kiltmaker here in the capital of Scotland. It seems fitting that I BEGIN THIS BLOG ON A MONDAY THE START of an action fun filled week. Unfortunately the men are coming to dig up the road so I MAY have to balance the constant whirling drone of the diggers with some very loud music, I feel music is so important when your working making gents 8 yard kilts - if the tunes are fast and frantic then it,s amazing how productive one can be, but utterly unsustainable.
This week Rosekilts has to get moving on a Modern Maxwell gents 8 yard kilt that really needs starting and there is the childhood kilt alteration which my client (now in her 50s)but cant let go overhaul -I am really pleased with the re-make, re-vamp on this one it has worked a treat. I need to chase missing backorder fabric from the mill - although the invoice came pretty sharpish.   Enough for now aye xx
